With over 100 delegates attending, the Environmental Conference once again proved a resounding success and indicates the growing commitment from our industry to this vital area.

This year's focus highlighted the increase in environmental regulation and standards with presentations providing valuable information on topics such as the Water Framework Directive, Mineral Waste Directive, ROMPS, Environmental Liability, the Aggregates Levy Credit Scheme and increased public participation in planning which are or will impact significantly on the industry.

The event was closed by the presentation on this year's Environmental Awards with first place awarded to Northstone NI, Quarry & Asphalt Division and second place going to the Acheson & Glover Group.
