Precast Concrete Flooring

1. Continue to work through the Construction Industry Group with main contractors, clients, designers and Universities on all aspects of safe design for the placing of precast stairs and floors.
2. Develop a syllabus for a training course entitled “Safe Construction with heavy concrete elements”, seek approval/ recognition from organisations such as IOSH.
3. Monitor and promote the use of passive fall systems.

Key Performance Indicators

1. Levels of accidents in the placing and erection of precast concrete elements.
2. Usage of passive fall systems across the industry.
3. Volumes of concrete flooring and stairs used.
